Our electrical department extends the lifespan and reliability of high and low voltage motors and generators for the mining and power generation industries.
Our purpose-built, state-of-the-art workshop includes a testing facility that accommodates high voltage motors up to 11kV (up to 11 MW) and large lathes, overhead cranes and spray booths to handle components of significant size.
Our onsite fabrication group supports our electrical team, with fabrication located in an adjacent, dedicated workshop to improve efficiencies while removing contaminants by separating workspaces.
We have extensive experience reducing brush wear and bearing failure in the slip ring chamber of wound rotor motors. By redesigning cooling systems and bearing housings, we improve motor efficiency and help our clients to realise cost savings by extending time between preventative maintenance, reducing downtime and improving reliability.
